One of our best kept secrets is Backstreet Art District. The first Wednesday of each month there is a art walk here so we locals and visitors have a chance to talk to the artists. Most of artists have their studios in the back and in the front are their galleries that provide an outstanding place to display their work.

We literally just stumbled upon this artsy smorgasbord by following signage from E. Palm Canyon, but IMHO, it should be in the top 10 things to do in Palm Springs. There are about a dozen shops representing all mediums of art and you can meet/watch artists in action or just browse and purchase.
